Awards & recognition

Humbled and honoured

Every award belongs to our community – and above all to our volunteers. Without them we are NOTHING! With them – we are EVERYTHING!

2026 Coral McLean Award

Mirna Antar

Presented by the Hon Ed Husic MP, Federal Member for Chifley – in appreciation for her outstanding contributions to the Chifley community.

Some of the most meaningful contributions are made quietly, without seeking recognition or applause.

Today, Serenity Care Connection humbly celebrates Mirna and the extraordinary dedication, compassion and selfless drive she has shared in helping build this charity from the ground up.

Much of what she has given cannot be measured in words or captured in a certificate. It lives in the foundations she has helped build, the lives we touch and the hope we continue to share.

Mirna, this recognition is a small reflection of the difference you have made. Thank you for helping turn a vision into something that can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

“Not all extraordinary people seek the spotlight. Some simply get on with the work, quietly making the world kinder and better!”

Australian Egyptian of the Year African Award

An Award of Recognition presented to Serenity Care Connection for our achievements in the community – a great motivation to continue making a difference.

Thank you, Samey

True to his character, Samey has never sought recognition. He even chose to have the Serenity Care Connection name displayed instead of his own name or profile picture, because for him, it's always been about the people we serve and the charity's mission—not personal recognition.

Thank you for your selfless service and for inspiring us to keep helping others. We share these awards with everyone who has been part of this journey. Together, we will continue serving our community with love, humility, and grateful hearts. ❤️🙏
